Mark 11:8 Jesus Riding Over Garments On The Road - 16x20 Canvas
Mark 11:8 says, “Many in the crowd spread their garments on the road ahead of Him, and others spread leafy branches they had cut in the fields.”
This 16x20 inch original acrylic painting on stretched canvas, is a physical representation of Jesus approaching the towns of Bethphage and Bethany on the Mount of Olives. Where as they approached, the people began laying out their own garments and palm leaves for Jesus to walk on as He enters the town.
As I read through this scripture, the Lord gave me a vision of a painting idea for this scene, which allows the eye to first be caught on the bright vibrant colors of the garments, and when looking hard enough, finally seeing the King of Kings riding in on the donkey.
It’s a simple and modern look to this old story, that can be hung up in any room and go with any scheme due to it’s neutral color pallet. All while bringing in the glory of God into your home.
